Terrain Materials
On Forza Horizon 6, I was responsible for creating a wide range of terrain materials used throughout the open world. Using a combination of photogrammetry and procedural material techniques, I developed materials that accurately reflected real-world landscapes while maintaining the clarity and readability required for a fast-paced racing game.
From photography and photogrammetry processing through to final material creation, the focus was on achieving a high level of realism, natural variation, and consistency across the game's diverse environments, seasons, and lighting conditions.
