Emperors Corridor

Skilltree Mentorship

This project was created during my environment art mentorship with Alex Beddows and Skill Tree. The scene is inspired by the "Emperor’s Corridor" in the Czech Republic.

I focused on combining skills developed in previous projects to create a scene with strong composition and lighting.

High-poly assets were sculpted in ZBrush, with Houdini used to displace and generate detailed meshes before creating optimized low-poly versions. I used Substance Painter for baking and texturing assets, and Substance Designer to create several rock and snow materials. Additionally, I developed two Houdini tools, one for landscape generation and another to procedurally place snow on selected objects.

Foliage and trees were sourced from the Unreal Marketplace and Quixel Megascans.
